For 30 years the Alliance, formerly the National Association for Research and Therapy for Homosexuality, has stood in the way of the major psychological associations who sacrificed truth in science and therapy to political correctness. The Alliance has undergone many years of false accusations, marginalization and disrespect simply for relying on sound research, therapeutic results and client/therapist rights in addressing gender and sexuality issues.

 

For 30 years the Alliance has held annual conferences for professionals, laypersons and people of faith to educate, instruct and inspire them with evidence-based truth and methods that directly influenced attendees’ lives with truth and compassion. 

 

For 15 years, Alliance members and board members have sat in over 20 state legislature committees and testified for clients’ rights to receive therapy that matches their sincerely held beliefs that also matches their most authentic, healthy selves. During this period, three board members, at great professional and personal risk, put their names to lawsuits as plaintiffs in Federal Courts to battle against unconstitutional therapy bans for U.S. citizens. One of our board members served as an expert witness in legislature debates about therapy bans.

 

For 10 years, the Alliance has spoken in public and written in professional articles about the major psychological associations in their abdication of evidenced-based research in gender identity, which has resulted in the permanent mutilation of children’s bodies to further a startlingly falsehood that men can be born in women’s bodies and vice versa. For many years the Alliance Journal of Sexuality has produced articles representing a vast amount of sound research and analysis from many respected doctors and therapists that have been most often ignored by powerful institutions who are afraid to live by professional principles.

 

Throughout its history, even though the Alliance is a science-based association, it has been 100% in support of the faith-based community in its efforts to seek truth and compassion that fits their beliefs. The work of the Alliance fits into the Judeo-Christian ethic and mindset that has been the basis for the most successful civilizations in history. 

 

And lastly, the Alliance has at its heart done what it has done for your children, whose stories of heartbreak and healing are who we assist so their futures can be more assuredly grounded in happiness.
